Mumbai, Aug. 7 -- Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde received a bomb threat email on Friday, following which security was heightened in Mumbai, officials said.
The threat email was received on the Mayor's official email ID at around 0921 hrs, with the sender allegedly threatening to target her official vehicle and office cabin with explosives.
The email also reportedly mentioned several key installations, including the Mayor's office, Mumbai Metro, Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Maharashtra Chief Minister's Office and various BMC offices, and threatened attacks before August 15.
