Mumbai, July 4 -- Mumbai Suburban Guardian Minister Ashish Shelar on Saturday conducted a comprehensive review at the Emergency Management Control Room of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation headquarters, as the India Meteorological Department issued inclement weather warnings for the metropolis.

Accompanied by BMC Commissioner Ashwini Bhide and senior civic functionaries, Shelar assessed the city's readiness across critical verticals in anticipation of heavy precipitation forecast for Sunday.

The deliberations centred on operational preparedness at historically waterlogging-prone precincts, the functional status of the stormwater drainage network, and traffic management protocols.
