Mumbai, Aug. 20 -- The long-pending issue of compensation for fishermen affected by the Versova-Bandra Sea Link project is expected to be resolved within two months of the submission of a detailed study report by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said today.

He said TISS is currently conducting a detailed study to determine the criteria for compensation to fishermen affected by the project. A positive decision will be taken to provide substantial compensation to the affected fishermen within two months of receiving the report, he said.
