Mumbai, July 31 -- Mumbai Customs have arrested a 21-year-old woman on charges of allegedly attempting to smuggle suspected narcotic substances into the country from Bangkok by concealing them inside a modified trolley bag.
The accused, identified as Sonia Singh, a resident of Rourkela in Odisha, arrived at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport from Bangkok early Friday.
According to Customs officials, the passenger was intercepted after crossing the Green Channel following spot profiling. During the initial inspection, officers found the trolley bag containing chocolates, snacks and clothing.
