Mumbai, Feb. 25 -- The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation on Wednesday announced a major expansion in its education spending for the financial year 2026-27, placing the total allocation at Rs 4,248.08 crore.
The proposal, presented by Additional Municipal Commissioner Avinash Dhakne under Budget Estimate 'E' (Fund Code 30), reflects a clear rise over the previous year's outlay and underscores the civic body's emphasis on strengthening school education in Mumbai.
