Mumbai, Jan. 26 -- Mumbai celebrated India's 77th Republic Day on Monday with ceremonial grandeur across the city.

In a first-of-its-kind event near the Gateway of India, over 200 boats and luxury yachts participated in a maritime parade, forming a tricolour pattern in the Arabian Sea.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis unfurled the Tricolour honouring the Indian Constitution and freedom fighters.

The traditional ceremonial parade was held at Shivaji Park in Dadar, featuring march pasts by the Mumbai Police, State Reserve Police Force, and various school contingents.

Dr. Prashant Narnaware, Secretary to the Governor, hoisted the flag at the Lok Bhavan.
