Mumbai, April 4 -- A special facilitation camp under the Universal Parsi Registration Drive, organised by the Ministry of Minority Affairs with support from the Bombay Parsi Panchayat, received an enthusiastic response in Mumbai on Saturday.
Around 300 new registrations were completed on the Jiyo Parsi portal during the camp, reflecting increased community participation and outreach.
The Jiyo Parsi scheme, a flagship Central Sector initiative of the Government of India, was launched in 2013-14 to address the declining population of the Parsi community. The programme focuses on stabilising and gradually increasing the community's numbers through structured interventions backed by scientific support mechanisms.
