Mumbai, April 20 -- Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Mumbai Crime Branch arrested a former Bar dancer and seized 5,000 MDMA pills worth Rs 6 crore from her residence in Titwala in Thane district, officials said here on Monday.

Police described the haul as one of the largest single-source recoveries of MDMA in the city and a major crackdown following the recent deaths of two MBA students at a concert in the NESCO Exhibition Centre in suburban area of the city.

According to the police, the accused, a woman in her early 40s, who worked in the various bar of Mumbai and Thane as a bar dancer for over a decade before allegedly entering the drug trade three years ago.
