Mumbai, Oct. 27 -- Mumbai-based air hostess has lost more than Rs 10 lakh in online trading and cryptocurrency scam operated via the Telegram messaging platform.
The Central Region Cyber Police have launched an investigation following a complaint filed by 49-year-old Shilpa Gaurang Bhasin, an employee of Saudia Airlines and resident of R.A.K. Road, Wadala.
According to the complaint, Shilpa was targeted while she was stationed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, when she received a Telegram message on October 4, 2025, offering commission payments for liking videos on the IMDb website. After following instructions and creating an account named "Shilpa36," she initially received small payments for completing simple online tasks.
