Mumbai, Aug. 6 -- The water stock in Mumbai's seven reservoirs marginally declined to 88.76 per cent of their total live storage capacity on Thursday, despite continued rainfall in the catchment areas, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said.
According to the Hydraulic Engineer's Department, the lakes had 12,84,608 million litres of usable water at 0600 hours on Thursday, compared with 88.93 per cent recorded on Wednesday, registering a marginal decline of 0.17 percentage points.
Among the seven reservoirs, Modak Sagar, Vihar and Tulsi remained 100 per cent full, while Tansa stood at 99.42 per cent. Middle Vaitarna was 91.99 per cent full, followed by Bhatsa at 86.28 per cent and Upper Vaitarna at 78.83 per cent.
