Mumbai, Oct. 23 -- Seven people were injured early today when a bus collided with a tempo on the Airoli Bridge in Mumbai. The collision occurred around 6:45 am.

The bus, operating on route number 492/31, was travelling from Thane's Bhoomi Acres to Majas Depot when it was hit by the tempo near Bhandup Pumping Signal along Vasantrao Naik Marg. Of the seven injured, two were bus passengers and five were tempo occupants.

All injured persons were taken to Veer Savarkar Hospital. Two of the injured were admitted to the male surgical ward in stable condition, while five others, including tempo driver Ramesh Bechenlal Gupta (34), received outpatient treatment.
