Mumbai, Oct. 27 -- A major fire broke out on the first floor of Ravisha Tower, a thirteen-storey commercial building near Ghatkopar railway station in the city suburb today, triggering widespread panic. Firefighters and disaster response teams successfully evacuated around 200 to 300 people who were trapped as thick smoke quickly filled the glass-encased commercial complex.

The blaze erupted when hundreds of employees were present inside the premises, creating suffocating conditions on the upper floors. Witnesses reported scenes of chaos as alarms sounded and people rushed towards staircases and exits. Emergency teams reached the spot promptly, despite fire brigade vehicles facing brief delays due to traffic congestion near the station.
