Mumbai, June 11 -- The long arm of the law has finally caught up with four men, five years after they murdered a friend over a financial dispute and staged it as a road accident in Kudal town in Maharashtra's coastal Sindhudurg district.
Disclosing details here on Thursday, Mumbai Crime Branch Unit-7 officials said after killing their friend, the accused threw his body and motorcycle into a deep gorge at Fonda Ghat, and tried to make it look like a road accident.
The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Ashpak Mulani alias Nihal, resident of Malshiras in Solapur district.
After the initial investigation, the case was registered as a road accident at the Kankavli Police Station in Sindhudurg.
