Imphal, May 21 -- Manipur Police and security forces carried out a series of operations across different districts of the State, leading to the arrest of insurgent cadres, drug traffickers including a man from Myanmar and accused persons, besides recovery of arms, explosives and narcotic substances, police said on Thursday.
In one operation conducted on Tuesday, Manipur Police arrested two cadres of a proscribed outfit from Imphal West.
Police recovered one InSAS Light Machine Gun (LMG), three magazines and 14 live rounds of ammunition from their possession.
In another operation carried out on May 19, security forces nabbed a militant in Imphal East district.
