Varanasi, Feb. 2 -- Varanasi Municipal Corporation plans to start constructing an underground parking, market complex, and hotel, costing Rs 74.52 crore, Mayor Ashok Kumar Tiwari said on Monday.
The Mayor said the construction should begin as soon as possible so that the public can benefit from it within the stipulated time frame, and underlined that the civic body was committed to completing development projects in a quality-oriented and timely manner.
In this regard, Tiwari and Municipal Commissioner Himanshu Nagpal inspected the Sigra and Senpura projects on Monday.
The Municipal Corporation has raised Rs 50 crore from the market (municipal bonds) to realise these two major projects.
