Kabul, Jan. 22 -- Three people have been confirmed dead, and two others were injured due to a mud slide that struck a house in the eastern Nuristan province of Afghanistan on Wednesday, provincial government spokesman Faridon Samim said Thursday.
The natural disaster took place in Mandol district following heavy rain and snowfall in the area, the official added, saying all the victims are members of the same family.
In Afghanistan, people mostly live in vulnerable mud houses, which are prone to natural disasters.
