Chennai, Nov. 10 -- The Metropolitan Transport Corporation (Chennai) Ltd., one of India's largest government-operated bus transport agencies, has been awarded the prestigious "Award of Excellence in Urban Transport - City with the Best Public Transport System" by the union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
The award was presented during the Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference and Expo 2025 held in Gurugram, an official release here said.
The union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs presented the award in the presence of senior officials, dignitaries and national experts from the urban mobility sector.
