Kochi, June 22 -- : Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Sanjay Malhotra on Monday said Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the "nursery of entrepreneurship" and a crucial driver of the Viksit Bharat vision, while inaugurating a Special Awareness Programme for MSME Entrepreneurs in Kochi to mark International MSME Day 2026.
Organised by the RBI's Thiruvananthapuram office at The Renai Cochin Hotel, the programme brought together more than 150 MSME entrepreneurs from across Kerala. The initiative aimed to enhance financial literacy, improve awareness of formal credit channels, and facilitate interaction between entrepreneurs, bankers and government agencies.
