Mumbai, April 8 -- The Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission (MSHRC) has imposed a fine of Rs one lakh on the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) for failing to provide basic funeral facilities to residents of Gorai and adjoining areas.
The commission directed that the amount be paid to the Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority within one month.
