New Delhi, March 24 -- The Metropolitan Stock Exchange (MSE) on Tuesday announced the appointment of market makers for its equity segment, a key step aimed at boosting liquidity, improving price discovery and strengthening overall trading efficiency on the platform.

A 'Market Maker' is a company or an individual that quotes both a buy and sell price in tradable asset held in inventory.

This move is expected to strengthen market depth and support efficient price recovery, and enhance the overall trading experience.

"Effective April 1, 2026, MSE will initiate liquidity enhancement measures as part of its continued efforts to deepen market participation and create a more vibrant trading ecosystem," it said.
