Visakhapatnam, Feb. 13 -- Visakhapatnam Member of Parliament M. Sribharat on Friday requested union Ministry of Sports Mansukh mandavia to sanction Rs14 crore under the Khelo India programme for the construction of a Multi-Purpose Indoor Hall at Arilova in the city.
Sribharat made the request during a meeting with union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya in New Delhi.
He informed the union Minister that a detailed proposal for the project had been prepared in coordination with the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP), the District Collector and the District Sports Authority Chairman.
The proposed indoor sports facility is planned in the Chinna Gadili-Arilova area of Visakhapatnam, with the total project cost estimated at Rs 14 crore.
