Visakhapatnam, Feb. 10 -- Member of Parliament from Visakhapatnam, Mathukumilli Sribharat, on Tuesday met union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw at his Parliament office and discussed several key railway development issues pertaining to Visakhapatnam and adjoining regions.
During the meeting, Sribharat stressed the need for expansion and redevelopment of Visakhapatnam Railway Station in view of increasing passenger traffic and the city's future requirements.
He also urged the early establishment of a temporary Railway Zone office at Visakhapatnam to ensure smooth administrative functioning during the initial phase of the proposed zone.
