Visakhapatnam, Sept. 21 -- Visakhapatnam MP M Sribharat on Monday called for adoption of modern technologies and scientific monitoring systems to improve the quality and durability of road infrastructure in the city.
The MP, along with GVMC Commissioner, met CSIR-Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) Director Chalamuri Ravi Shekhar at the GVMC-Smart City office on Beach Road and discussed road development, quality standards and modern construction technologies.
Sribharat stressed the need to obtain technical inputs from national-level institutions such as CRRI before taking up new road projects to strengthen tender specifications and construction standards.
