Chandigarh, April 7 -- Amritsar Member of Parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla has raised serious concerns over the structural integrity and quality of the ongoing construction of the Daburji (Golden Gate) flyover in Amritsar.
In a formal communication addressed to union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, the Lok Sabha MP alleged gross irregularities and the use of substandard materials in the project.
Aujla has demanded an immediate vigilance inquiry into the entire undertaking and called for stringent punitive action against those found responsible for compromising public safety.
