Bhopal, Jan. 11 -- Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Saturday evening launched the statewide Swachch Jal Abhiyan (Pure Water Campaign) from Bhopal, underlining that the supply of contaminated drinking water must not be supplied under any circumstances.
The campaign comes just days after reports that around 17 people died after consuming contaminated water from the Narmada river, supplied through municipal taps in Indore's Bhagirathpura locality.
The incident has raised serious concerns, particularly as Indore has been ranked India's cleanest city for seven consecutive years.
