Bhopal, Feb. 28 -- The Madhya Pradesh Assembly on Friday passed the state budget for 2026-27, and the third supplementary budget for 2025-26 before being adjourned sine die a week before its scheduled ending on 6 March.
The opposition Congress staged a walkout of the House, alleging they were denied the opportunity to put forth their points on the different demands mentioned in the budget.
In his closing remarks, Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar mentioned that during the ten sittings of the House, a total of 3478 questions, including 1750 starred and 1728 unstarred, were received, while notices for 902 call attention motions and 333 notices for zero hour were received by the assembly.
