Bhopal, April 8 -- A forest guard was murdered by running him over with a tractor-trolley, filled with illegally mined sand and being driven by sand mafia trying to flee from checking by a team of the forest department, in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday.
The brazen killing of a government employee sparked political outrage, with the opposition Congress launching a scathing attack on the BJP state government, alleging that there was no rule of law in the state.
State Assembly Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar charged that there is no law and order in the state, and criminals are acting freely without any fear of the police.
