Bhopal, June 10 -- In a major twist in the Rajya Sabha polls for Madhya Pradesh, Congress candidate Meenakshi Natarajan's nomination was rejected today evening amidst a high- voltage drama between the ruling BJP and opposition Congress leaders.

The cancellation of Natarajan's nomination has paved the way for almost a walk-over to BJP candidate Mahesh Kewat on the third Rajya Sabha seat from Madhya Pradesh.

On Tuesday afternoon, the BJP had submitted an objection against opposition Congress Rajya Sabha candidate Meenakshi Natrajan, alleging that she has deliberately hidden information about a court case against her in her nomination papers.

The BJP submitted the objection in the MP State Assembly.
