Bhopal, Aug. 3 -- Celebrations began on Monday afternoon at the Madhya Pradesh Congress Headquarters at Bhopal, and in Datia, where the party appeared to be heading to a win in the Assembly by-poll.
After 11 rounds of vote counting, Congress candidate Ghanshyam Singh was leading against his BJP rival Ashutosh Tiwari by a comfortable margin of more than 12,000 votes.
As per officials, there would be 15 rounds of vote counting.
With just four more rounds of counting remaining, the grand old party seemed set to retain its Assembly seat.
