Bhopal, March 23 -- Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav ordered the transfer of Guna Superintendent of Police Ankit Soni on Sunday night.
The sudden removal of the SP is being seen in connection with the recent case of seizure of Rs one crore hawala money in Guna, and allegations on four cops of taking Re 20 lakh bribe in it. The SP has been transferred after his performance in handling the matter was found unsatisfactory.
An IPS officer, Ayush Jakhar, is already conducting a departmental investigation in the matter. Meanwhile, Guna DIG Amit Sanghi had on Sunday suspended the four cops, including a Station House Officer, on finding their roles suspicious in the matter.
