Chennai, July 18 -- Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on Saturday called for a definitive shift in India's administrative outlook and said beyond colonial thinking, governance must reflect Indian values.
In his address after inaugurating the Samkalp IAS Academy in Coimbatore, he called upon aspiring civil servants and serving officersto consciously move away from the remnants of colonial thinking and outdated administrative mindsets.
Governance in a modern and self-confident India should reflect Indian values, national priorities and a spirit of service rather than colonial-era approaches, Mr Arlekar said.
