Bhubaneswar, May 14 -- In a major welfare initiative for Odisha's weaving and handicrafts community, the state government today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SightSavers India to provide free eye check-ups to weavers and artisans across the state.
The MoU was signed between the Directorate of Textiles and the Directorate of Handicrafts under the Odisha government and SightSavers India during a state-level inter-consultative workshop titled "Textile Industry for Global Markets" held here today.
