Motihari, June 24 -- At least two women, including a mother and her daughter were killed and three other members of the same family were seriously injured after a speeding container truck ran over them in East Champaran district on Wednesday.
According to police, the accident occurred near Bhaluahia village under the Ramgarhwa police station area on the Ramgarhwa-Raxaul stretch of National Highway-28A. An uncontrolled speeding container truck mowed down five members of a family who were standing by the roadside.
The deceased were identified as 35-year-old Savitri Devi, a resident of Singhorwa village under the Raxaul police station area, and her 55-year-old mother Munni Devi, a resident of Bhaluahia village. Both women died on the spot. T...
