Saharanpur, Sept. 5 -- Tension gripped Saharanpur on Saturday after the demolition of a mosque located inside the Saharanpur Collectorate complex began amid heavy security deployment.

Police, including personnel from the Rapid Action Force (RAF), were deployed across the premises. The administration sealed all five gates of the Collectorate complex and restricted the entry of outsiders as demolition work is underway.

Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party (SP) MP from Shamli Iqra Hassan and Congress MP from Saharanpur Imran Masood were allegedly prevented by police from leaving their residences when they attempted to reach the site.

According to sources, the demolition process began on September 2 following an order by the District Judge's Court. JC...
