Patna, March 7 -- Bihar Rural Development Minister Shrawan Kumar on Saturday said that more than 12.08 lakh houses have been sanctioned for poor beneficiaries in the state between 2024 and 2026.

Addressing journalists here, the minister said a total of 12,08,663 beneficiaries have been approved for housing during this period.

Out of them, 11,36,500 beneficiaries have received the first instalment, 7,49,056 the second instalment, and 3,46,307 beneficiaries have been paid the third instalment.

Kumar said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, 3,06,246 beneficiaries have completed the construction of their houses during the period 2024 to 2026.
