New Delhi, Oct. 3 -- The southwest monsoon has withdrawn from the remaining parts of north India, but Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh and Delhi are likely to see a fresh spell of isolated to scattered rainfall from Oct 6 to 9, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday.

The forecast marks a shift from largely dry conditions across the region. Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Punjab are expected to remain dry from Oct 3 to 5 before isolated rainfall returns from Oct 6, according to the IMD's seven-day outlook.

The weather department said the monsoon had also withdrawn from the entire Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, as well as some parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra.
