Panchkula, July 24 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday forecast a fresh spell of active monsoon over northwestern India, with widespread rainfall likely over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Punjab from July 27 to 30.
It also warned of very heavy rainfall at isolated places in the region during this period. According to the IMD's All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir-Ladakh and Uttarakhand are likely to receive widespread rainfall from July 24 to 30.
Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Punjab are expected to have isolated to scattered rainfall from July 24 to 26 before rainfall intensifies from July 27 onward.
