Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 2 -- Kerala Revenue Minister A.P. Anil Kumar on Sunday said rescue and relief operations across the state are progressing on a war footing following the monsoon devastation, with 7,674 people currently accommodated in 273 relief camps.
The Minister said the State Government is in constant touch with all District Collectors and is coordinating with MPs and MLAs to strengthen facilities at relief camps. Food, drinking water, medical care and sanitation have been ensured at all camps.
As of Sunday evening, 273 relief camps had been opened across the state, including 75 in Pathanamthitta, 64 in Kottayam, 36 in Kozhikode, 28 in Wayanad, 18 in Kannur, 14 in Alappuzha, 13 in Idukki, seven in Ernakulam, and six each in Th...
