Shimla, July 11 -- The death toll due to heavy monsoon rains in Himachal Pradesh has risen to 91, with 34 people still missing and 131 others injured.

The State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC) confirmed that Mandi district is the worst affected, reporting 15 deaths and over 290 people rescued from rain-hit areas.

The state recorded 31 incidents of flash floods, 22 cloudbursts and 17 major landslides have caused large-scale destruction across the state, damaging houses, roads, and public infrastructure.

More than 534 people have been shifted to 16 relief camps set up in various districts. So far, 824 houses have been completely destroyed, and 14 bridges have suffered serious damage.
