Lucknow, Aug. 25 -- Monsoon rains continue to lash Uttar Pradesh and on Tuesday morning, 15 cities, including Varanasi, Ayodhya, Jhansi, Jaunpur, and Ghazipur, have been experiencing rainfall.
In the past 24 hours, 7 people have died in rain- and flood-related incidents. In Bikapur, Ayodhya, a hut collapsed due to strong winds and rain. A child and a young woman sitting under the thatched roof were crushed to death. In Ghazipur, a young man drowned in floodwaters.
In Mughalsarai, an innocent child died when a mud wall collapsed. Similar one death each were reported from Mirzapur, Prayagraj and Kaushambi.
