Lucknow, July 16 -- After a brief lull, the monsoon is set to become active again in Uttar Pradesh.
Rains were experienced in several areas of the capital, Lucknow, on Thursday morning, bringing relief from the heat and humidity.
Meanwhile, since June 1st, the state has recorded 25 percent less rainfall than normal.
According to the Meteorological Department, the rain will intensify across the state starting Friday, July 17. Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in several districts, including the Terai region, until July 22.
