While Rizwan continues to be a mainstay at Test and ODI level, the 33-year-old hasn't featured for his country in the shortest format since the end of 2024 and was a notable absentee from Pakistan's squad at this year's ICC Men's T20 World Cup when the Asian side failed to reach the knockout stages.
Rizwan has since failed to reach any great heights during the ongoing Pakistan Super League, with the right-hander having been dismissed for less than 20 in his last five innings and scored just 107 runs from seven knocks in his role as captain of RawalPindiz at the tournament.
