Pune, March 5 -- The grand cultural event 'Mogra Phulala', based on Marathi saintly literature, was held with great enthusiasm at the Serge Constantin Theatre in Mauritius.

The event was organized by the Swan Research and Social Study Foundation to mark the 750th birth anniversary of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and to celebrate the historic moment of Marathi being granted the status of a classical language.

The festival brought together Marathi enthusiasts from across the world through a shared cultural bond. Mauritius was chosen as the venue because the island nation has preserved Marathi culture for nearly 200 years, making it a significant place for the global Marathi community.
