Mumbai, June 11 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi took India in the wrong direction and India will continue to pay a heavy price for it for many years to come, Maharashtra State Congress Committee President Harshvardhan Sapkal said today.
"It is being claimed that Narendra Modi has surpassed Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru's tenure as Prime Minister, but it is difficult to identify Modi's contributions to the nation for the last 12 years. During this period, Modi took India in the wrong direction, and India will continue to pay a heavy price for it for many years to come. After an assessment of the Modi government's performance over the last 12 years, it can be said that there is neither Ram nor any noteworthy 'Kaam' (work) visible," he said.
