Gangtok, April 27 -- A vibrant wave of public enthusiasm marked Prime Minister Narendra Modi's roadshow in Sikkim, as the Himalayan state celebrated 50 years of its statehood on Monday.
Thousands lined the route to Gangtok, waving the tricolour, capturing moments on their phones, and expressing heartfelt admiration.
The scenes reflected a festive yet emotional atmosphere, with children perched on shoulders, smiling and waving flags - symbolising a new generation witnessing a historic milestone.
