Bengaluru, June 11 -- Escalating the war of words over Prime Ministerial tenure records, Karnataka Congress President BK Hariprasad on Thursday launched a blistering attack on the BJP, accusing it of "rewriting history" to project Prime Minister Narendra Modi as having surpassed Jawaharlal Nehru in office.
Hariprasad dismissed the BJP's claims as a "desperate attempt" to distort historical facts, asserting that Nehru's contribution to nation-building and his place in India's political history could neither be eclipsed nor erased.
