Hyderabad, June 4 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday said the Makthal-Narayanpet-Kodangal Lift Irrigation Scheme (MNKLIS) would provide irrigation facilities to one lakh acres in drought-prone areas of Narayanpet and Vikarabad districts.
The Chief Minister arrived directly from Bengaluru to Makthal in erstwhile Mahabubnagar district to review the progress of the irrigation project works being taken up across the Bhima and Krishna rivers.
He was accorded a grand welcome by District Collector Ch. Priyanka along with Irrigation Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Damodara Raja Narasimha, Jupally Krishna Rao and Vakiti Srihari.
