Srinagar, Sept. 6 -- : The Mutahida Majlis-e-Ulema (MMU), an amalgam of prominent religious organisations in Jammu and Kashmir, voiced strong concern over the installation of a plaque bearing the Ashoka Chakra at the revered Hazratbal shrine, urging authorities to ensure its immediate removal.
The MMU, headed by Kashmir's chief cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, today urged the J&K Waqf Board to uphold Islamic tradition and avoid harsh measures against worshippers.
