Indora, Aug. 30 -- Indora MLA Malendra Rajan today visited the flood-affected areas of his constituency and reviewed the on-ground situation. He met the affected families, listened to their grievances, and assured them of all possible assistance.
The MLA Malendra Rajan told UNI that continuous water release from Pong Dam has inundated 17 panchayats of Indora area.
He said that due to heavy rainfall, the water level of the dam has risen above the danger mark and more than one lakh cusecs of water is being discharged by the BBMB.
Rajan noted that the floods have caused extensive damage, with several houses, shops, and farmlands submerged. Crops have also been destroyed, severely impacting the livelihood of farmers.
