Aizawl, June 13 -- Mizoram has emerged as the leading state in the digitisation of enumeration forms under the third phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, election officials said today.
According to official data, the state had completed 68.05 per cent digitisation of enumeration forms as of 4 pm on Friday, the highest among the 16 states and three union Territories where the exercise is underway. In comparison, neighbouring Manipur had achieved 27.11 per cent digitisation.
Among Mizoram's districts, Khawzawl recorded the highest progress with 96.16 per cent digitisation, followed by Champhai at 92.57 per cent and Serchhip at 90.93 per cent. Aizawl district, which has the state's largest electorate, recorded 51...
